In the first chapter of I Corinthians, Paul relays to readers that it is through the foolishness of preaching the power of the cross of Jesus Christ that God has made it possible for anyone who accepts God’s invitation to be saved. The only prerequisite for this miraculous occurrence is that we must be born a sinner. Coincidentally, the bible records, “for all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23).
Along with God’s call or invitation to become a believer of Christ Jesus and hence His every word, also comes God’s provision. God’s provision incorporates everything that we will need to live committed and devoted to Him, both in this life and in the life to come. Many will forfeit what the sole Creator has for them simply because His method for redeeming is related to that which is foolishness. Yet, there is no one that has a greater plan for our life than the one who has created us. Neither is there anyone who has a better method for redeeming us back to our Creator than the one who has redeemed us.
In this life, we will have many experiences that develop the person of who we daily are. Some of these experiences will be wonderful and some will be categorized as that which we feel we can do without. However, the one blessed assurance that we can hold firm to is that God will never put more on us than we can bear, because the tests & trials of believers occur in a realm of what I would like to introduce as safety. Safety is not necessarily characterized as a realm in God where the believer never experiences any suffering, but rather, a controlled environment to produce the desired effect for which the suffering has been designed. Even Christ the Messiah, though crucified for the sins of the whole world, experienced only that which produced God’s desired effect, a remedy for sin.
As you embark upon the reading of Living in God’s Safety, I challenge you to consider what your inner dialogue and environment are dictating to you. Have you truly reached a point of no return, or is your faith being stretched so that God may be pleased that He could trust His recommendation for Satan to afflict you in the same manner that He trusted Job? Are your life experiences such that you’re really contemplating leaving the only God who has hands that can reach out to you and eyes that can visibly see when you’ll reach your assigned point of deliverance. Hold on, it’s safe for you! Keep believing, it’s safe for you! Keep reading, it’s safe for you!...Purchase Your Copy
